What all those pins are for

For years I saved pins and wondered what they were really worth. They help me gather my thoughts, sure. But then what? Should I delete them?

I never could. Looking back at the board is like looking back at pictures from a trip. Every pin was a moment when either I was really into it or my client was. That still matters.

Now I know what they are for. The board is the closest thing I have to showing you what is in my head and how I work. Fun ideas, nostalgic eras, serious and calming spaces, I get into all of it.

That is why you see so many of my pins all over this website. I want you to get to know me too.

So you tell me what you want and I will get into it with you. We do this together, step by step.

The thorough one is four parts: thirty pairs, thirty quick questions, a wall of rooms to tap, then twenty picked from your answers. About twelve minutes. Go fast, don't overthink.

What I am actually reading

Patterns, not answers. Curves or straight lines, color or none, plants or no plants. What you skip tells me as much as what you pick.

Some pictures are louder than anything you'd live in. That's on purpose. Choosing a funky room doesn't get you a funky room. I take the one thing that caught you and bring it back calmer.

You don't have to be one style. Styles mix beautifully when the mixing is deliberate. I've done the searching. You react, I read the patterns.
